Justice League: Not Ugly, Not Tormenting and Definitely Not a Mess!

Every 1 out of 3 movies releasing from past year and a half has been a superhero film. Production mammoths like Warner Bros, Disney, Marvel etc. have cracked the code and are hitting the soft spot. Sooner or later, this is going to establish as a genre of its own. The latest addition to this new found genre was Justice League *drumrolls*.

Last year's Batman V Superman made it clear that Superman is gone and a huge threat looms over the head of alien creature's favourite playschool, Earth. Batman and Wonder Woman take it on their shoulders to form an alliance of gifted individuals to face the unknown threat together. Until the end of first half, other gifted individuals Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg hop in too to face the self-proclaimed End of the World and the unknown threat, Steppenwolf. The 2 hours 1-minute movie starts with character introductions,  their coming together as a team, working out differences and kicking some asses (Well, super asses to be specific). You must be thinking that's the story of every other superhero movie, right? But the thing which makes this Zack Snyder flick different from the last ones is working on what fans really want and not having the unnecessary dragged and irrelevant scenes. Snyder figured out that only a movie of or under two hours can keep the popcorns hot and the Cold drinks cold. Unlike Batman V Superman, it was not too intense and lacked depth but tried to cover it up with humour and definitely not PG-13 level (sorry Marvel fans). The disappointing parts of the film were its low CGI (which is quite unexpected) and the villain created from this technology, Steppenwolf and his flat tyre plan. While DC is home to antagonists like Joker, Deathstroke, Darkseid etc. who are capable of scaring the living daylights out of our boy scouts with their wits. This supervillain on the other hand just fails to fall in the line and fails miserably.

We all make up our minds for a movie after checking out the reviews, but in this case, you have to turn a blind eye to the precious advice of Movie Pundits. Remember the childhood saying, See for yourself and decide. Well, now is the time you need that piece of advice more than ever. So, keep your expectations in check and go watch Justice League in theatres before your friends spoil it for you.
