Why I'll Watch This Show With My Son



Ever Wondered in class 8 and class 10, when you were eagerly waiting for this one chapter in Science Book so that you and your friends can have a little giggle at the back and the girls can do the same while hiding their porcelain-capped teeth. Yes, this one infamous chapter was Reproduction. This chapter was the sole reason why textbooks were read before the session would start. Boys used to wait for the teacher to reach at the page where heavy description of penises, vagina and condoms were given. But unfortunately, the poor ones had to settle for how plants used to create offspring by transferring pollen grains. So, the teacher skipped those 4 pages. They must have some bad content which can affect our culture. If it was really BAD wala bad, then why the publishers wasted 4 pages of ink and paper to publish such manner less thing which would bring shame to me when talked about in public. 
And if it was not bad and necessary for me to learn, then who would teach me? I checked my list- Ok, Ghar pe I can't use these words, neither in front of any other educated elder. Then, who the hell was supposed to teach me those things- Why the hell I was wetting my Pants with some unknown fluid and what this Rubbish was Periods. Period toh school mein hote hai, fir girls ke liye specially kyun. I couldn't talk to anyone, Kone wala Halwai thode batayega yar!
My friends were way too forward and quenched their curiosities with internet. But learning through Internet has some of its own setbacks, I learnt what these terms were, But I also did learn some unnecessary stuff like:
  1. Masturbation can lead to blindness
  2. You will go to hell if you masturbate
  3. Evil People use Condoms
I know the last one was lame, but things like these are available on Internet. One thing needs to be made clear, children will learn these things once puberty hits them. It just depends on us what would be the source- Either Parents making them understand about the changes in their body or some Gali ke Kone wala Halwai who doesn't know the difference between Porn and Sex Education. Now some serious stuff- Absence of Sex education is the reason why our National capital is also the Rape Capital. It might sound naive but this little talk between a Father-Son can make a difference between a Rapist and a Real Man.

P.S. This is not a promotional post for this web show. It just hit me like in my mid sleep at 2 to write something on it as the matter needs to be discussed now more than ever.

Yesterday, I got to visit another college (thanks to a friend) which was more a typical kind of college. But getting an entry was not the easy part. We assembled at the back door like a Counter Strike team waiting for Sergeant's order "All Clear, Let's Go Boys". Few Lessons I learnt from College

Title of this post makes it way more obvious than Why Katappa Killed Bahubali that what's it about. This journey from 03rd August, 2015 to 28th May, 2018 was no less than a typical Bollywood Masala. From conflicts, controversies to college-shaming and loads of laughter, this voyage had it all. Without taking much of your time, I'll interrupt my sob story and continue with the theme of this blog. So, here are the following things I learned in college (start of a 14 marks answer): 1. Time is the biggest teacher. Either you learn to flow with it, or stand still to see the world change its shape. It has the power to turn strangers into friends and vice versa. Time will show who's worth it and who/what is not. In the end, you'll regret wasting it on things that never deserved it. 2. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Don't make the mistake of watching 'Dil Chahta Hai' in first year of your college, save it for the last (and yes, that goa trip isn't going to happen)....

A Not-So-Normal Day

This is something that happened last week during my midterm exams. I was waiting at the bus stop to get to the college. The many-fold increase in my finger tapping speed was cueing that I had already gotten late. Finally, I saw two large beams coming my way bearing the number 623. This bus was supposed to be a bit crowded but to my surprise, on that particular day, it wasn't. I hopped in and got in line to get the ticket. All of a sudden, I felt a little jerk from behind and within a blink of the moment, I was made like a football passing through a bunch of Barcelona midfielders. One of the midfielder with the tormenting breath was just up to my face and I can assure you, my nostrils have never gone through anything worst.
